Hello from SudaCall. You can now ask for more things by voice during a call, so we have updated our Privacy Policy and Location-Based Service Terms as set out below. This update applies from today, the day it was announced.
| Document | Section | Change |
|---|---|---|
| Privacy Policy | Sections 1 and 1-1 | Scheduled reminders (type, time, days, time zone — no medicine names), start point and destination names for transit directions, and your phone model when phone guidance is on, added to requests during a call. Notification and location permission uses now include reminders and weather/transit start points |
| Privacy Policy | Section 2 | Purposes now include sending scheduled reminders, transit directions, phone-model guidance, and (with location consent) weather where you are and the transit start point |
| Privacy Policy | Sections 3 and 3-1 | TMAP Mobility Co., Ltd. (Republic of Korea) added for transit routes. Transit results and your phone model (calls with phone guidance on) added to what goes to conversation-generation providers; the neighbourhood name for weather (never coordinates) added to search terms |
| Privacy Policy | Section 4-2 | Weather where you are and the transit start point added to the purposes of personal location information — only with new consent, coordinates destroyed straight away |
| Privacy Policy | Section 5 | Reminder settings are kept until you turn them off or delete your account and are deleted as soon as you turn them off; undeliverable seven times in a row means turned off and deleted |
| Location-Based Service Terms | Articles 3 and 5 | "Weather where you are" and "Start point for transit directions" added; provided only to users who consent anew under this revision |
| Location-Based Service Terms | Articles 6, 8, 14, Addendum | Coordinates for both destroyed straight away · purpose names in the records · TMAP Mobility Co., Ltd. (Republic of Korea) as processor · accuracy of weather and transit information · revision addendum |
| Both documents (October 1 update) | Policy sections 3, 3-1, 5, 9 · Terms articles 6, 8, 12 | Brought in line with how things actually work — the location your app reads during a call is relayed through the call-connection provider LiveKit (US; relay only, never stored) · Google calculates transit routes when the start or the destination is outside Korea · saved places and records are stored in the Seoul region · disaster-recovery copies are deleted automatically within 14 days · the data protection officer's and location information manager's division corrected to the Strategic Planning Office (Head of Strategic Planning) |
